Heavy Police Presence Causes Traffic Delays, Rumors Spread Online

A significant police presence caused substantial traffic delays today, sparking frustration among drivers and leading many to reach out to our platforms on X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram in search of answers.

Our audience remains divided on the reason for the delay, with some speculating that a known gang figure was seen carrying an illegal firearm, while others believe there may have been a shooting incident on the highway.

Fortunately, we can confirm that no injuries have been reported.

The highway has since reopened, though official information regarding the cause of the police response remains unavailable. Based on initial observations, it’s possible that a firearm was involved.

Given the prevalence of gang activity along British Columbia’s roads, this incident may well fit into the ongoing trend. As always, we will continue to provide updates as more details emerge.
