The drug war that the Blood Mafia Family had started with the Hells Angels MC is currently going through a phase of absolutely unpredictable events throughout 2025. First there was the apprehension of Dave ‘Pic’ Turmel, the gangster who had provoked and ultimately started the strife with the renowned motorcycle club. Turmel had been cornered by authorities in his Rome hideout after being on the lam for nearly two years. The young Blood Family Mafia leader is presently serving a stint at the Regina Coeli prison, awaiting to be extradited back to the province of Quebec. He faces charges of drug trafficking, conspiracy and armed assault.
When fall persisted, and October came around, news articles about a newly formed gang started appearing. The North Savage Gang. Mainstream outlets dubbed its formation was due to a bunch of disgruntled Blood Family Mafia sympathizers who decided to form their own organization. With rumors of even members of the Blood Family Mafia being responsible for the formation of this gang. These same outlets also claim the gang is active in the region of Quebec.
The question that stands lies within their standing in the drug war that the Blood Family Mafia had started back in 2023. Are they standing with the BFM or acting against? Will they play a role in the unveiling events of future incidents, or will they stand neutral? Unfortunately, there is very little information on the founding of this new coalition. It’s even hard to determine whether this particular gang will be taking up space in future new headlines.
There have been rumours, although unconfirmed, that this new street gang is made up from members of All Boivin’s crew. Boivin is listed as the number 2 most wanted criminal on BOLO’s program with a 100,000$ reward. He is wanted for drug trafficking and has succesfully avoided the long arm of the law since February of 2023. 35-year-old Boivin controls most of the drug trade in the region of Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean. He is suspected to be on the run with his 26-year-old girlfriend, Yaulise Lemieux-Bellavance.
