Shots Fired In Saguenay Residential Sector & Jonquiere Vehicle Arson

Towards 2:30am Wednesday (5/02/2025) on Rue Saint-Patrick in the Arvida sector of Saguenay, shots rang out in the dead of night. No one was injured but residents of the street are starting to get worried as this is the second violent event that took place on that very same street in the past few months. Two individuals were arrested soon after the shots rang out. Willliam Terasse and Samuel Boutin appeared in court on Thursday afternoon by video conference. Police confirmed that this was an event in relation to the ongoing drug war.

An arson of a stolen vehicle had taken place an hour before the shots were fired in Saguenay. The arson had taken place on Chemin Saint-Andre in Jonquiere. Police have not linked the two events together and the arson might possibly only have been a coincidence.

Drug Seizure In Causapscal

A 52-year-old man by the name of Patrick Dumont was arrested after a police operation had taken place in the Bas-Saint-Laurent region of the province. The operation used police resources such as the GTI (Tactical Intervention Group) and a K9. The raid took place last Wednesday (5/02/2025) in Causapscal on Rue du Parc. In total, police managed to put their hands on 450 grams of cocaine, 4800 methamphetamine tablets, 400 prescription pills, a prohibited firearm, brass knuckles and 13,000$.

Lac-Brome: Corpse Found In Vehicle

Lac-Brome is a town in the Estrie region of Quebec, and last Friday (7/02/2025) a corpse was found, fried after a vehicle had been burnt to a crisp on Chemin Spring Hill. The SQ state that the arson was not of a criminal origin. Which raises a question as to why the individual in the vehicle hadn’t exited the vehicle. With the onslaught of vehicle arsons a certain drug war has started, one would think it would have something to do with the strife, but apparently not.

Towards 8:30am on Saturday (8/02/2025) morning police were called concerning a man in distress. The Sainte-Eustache police service had arrived at the scene and needed to use mace to immobilize the suspect, arresting him afterwards. During his arrest, he fell unconscious, with police having to call an ambulance to transport the suspect to the hospital. The assault happened towards 4:30am which is when the victim had gone to a neighboring apartment to seek refuge and notify the police. She was transferred to the nearest hospital where she is in stable condition.

Ancienne-Lorette Vehicle Arson

Ancienne-Lorette was once considered Quebec City in the past, the fact that it neighbors multiple boroughs of the city might have a Quebec City native claiming the sector as its own. Either way, the fact still stands that the notorious drug war between the bikers of the province and the street gangs had initially started in Quebec City. A fact which might answer the reason why there was a vehicle arson on Rue du Buisson near the intersection of Rue du Bosquet early Sunday (9/02/2025) morning. A call had come into 911 notifying the authorities of the arson.

No one had been injured and no suspects were arrested. The flames of the arson had only touched the garage and the flames had been quickly doused with water by the SPCIQ. Fire inspectors deemed the arson had been set criminally.

Sherbrooke Snack-Time Jacking

The Sherbrooke Police Service is looking for a victim who had committed the robbery of a corner store towards 9pm on Monday (10/02/2025) night. The suspect entered the store, only to take a bag of chips, a soda and a lighter. He then threatened the cashier to hand over the money in the cash register before making his exit. The incident occurred at Depanneur Galvin on Chemin Eponyme.
