Harpreet ‘Harp’ Singh Uppal, 41, is a name that every house-hold in the country has been keeping up with during this past week. Before we begin analyzing the gangster & his inner-circle, let’s take a look at the shooting videos one more time, and truly take-in just how immediate this hit was; less than 24 hours after PD’s homicide in Toronto.
It’s always tragic when a life is lost to the ongoing gun/gang violence pandemic, but this was something entirely different. We all knew Harp’s day was coming, and if the shooting had concluded with JUST his ‘sole’ homicide; this story wouldn’t have reached as far and as wide as it has.
The brainless suspects didn’t just stop with Harp – they figured that taking out an innocent kid would be a bright idea. With his entire life still ahead of him, the hitters decided to shoot 11 year old Gavin for no apparent reason. It’s been alleged that the killers were originally trying to kidnap the boy & put him up for ransom, until he started fighting back. Regardless of WHY – the fact of the matter is that they killed an innocent life whom had nothing to do with anything.
It wasn’t his fault that he was born to a father that had heavy affiliations to the underworld.
There used to be codes/morals/ethics in this game, but it turns out that it no longer exists. 🕊
Harp Uppal was a very powerful and respected figure in the underworld. He got along with almost everyone that he spoke too, and was extremely loyal to those in his circle. One of our journalists had also gotten really close with Harp over the last year or so. Everyone that isn’t his opposition usually had great things to say about him. We learned from his closest friends & family that his lifestyle was ultimately catching up-to him, but was truly a good person before he went balls-deep in the game.
We don’t really blame his overall transition into a cold-hearted demon, and that’s because if he wasn’t who he was and didn’t do what he did(these past few years); he would’ve lost his life a long time ago.
There was never a doubt in our mind that a lot of people wanted Harp (brains of the Uppal crime family) dead, and that was because of how powerful he was. He wasn’t just reloading some of the biggest phones in the province of AB, he also had plays running across both coasts. We don’t want to share any specifics on his programs/operations until the sequel, but we do need you to understand just how high-up he was in the CUW. It was still surprising knowing the fact that nearly half the province wanted him dead; not to mention the out-of-province politics he was involved in (because of his allegiances to the BK/WP sets). We do also believe that Indy & Harp had separate programs/operations, and there’s a good chance that majority of the family’s pull in the drug game has now been eliminated because of Harp’s death. Many claim that Indy is actually out of the game, and has been for a long time because of his lengthy criminal history (see below).
Only a year older then his brother Inderjeet ‘Indy’ Singh Uppal, Harp and his brother had always shared the same group of friends/associates since early school years. Although they’re considered an Albertan crime family, the two brothers actually grew up in the Lower-Mainland area. This is one of the main reasons as to why they have had so much pull in BC for the last 2 decades.
We still haven’t verified exactly what led to the Uppals aligning themselves with the Brothers Keepers, however, we do know that they had a close relationship with BK founder Gavinder Grewal. It’s alleged that the Uppal’s are family friends with GG’s family (not blood-related like DG). And considering how they grew up in the lower-mainland during the primal years of the Dhak-Duhre coalition vs RS/IS/HA aka WolfPack (today), it’s safe to assume that these 2 brothers made some strong connections while residing out west.
It’s very rare when we witness two brothers in the game for over 20 years – both living past their 30th birthday (in gangster years: age 134). Before we continue with the Uppal’s – take a look at this ‘Brothers List’ we completed a while back (new version out soon):
Keep in mind that they are in the same age group as Brian ‘Shrek’ Dhaliwal, which would mean that they too were familiar with guys like the Bacon brothers, Dhaks and even Duhres. We have no real info at this time that would link Shrek to the Uppals, but we would assume they definitely know each other – considering how they’re all apart of the BK gang.
Although the sequel will be containing more information on the Uppal family up-bringing, we wanted to share the alleged reasoning as to why the brothers ended up relocating to Alberta. It’s believed that the brothers had some sort of dispute with the Dhaks/Duhre coalition, which resulted in them ultimately leaving the province.
This could potentially also be the reasoning as to why Harp was always believed to have strong connections to the Wolfpack set (WP – Alkhalil set up the contract hit on Duhre).
Even when they were young teenagers, it was always evident that Harp was the brains, and Indy the muscle. It hasn’t changed – Harp get’s along with more people then his hot-tempered brother. There’s a reason why some affiliate him to the Wolfpack set, rather than BK (like Indy) – and that’s because he was friends with many of the high ranking pack members. It’s also important to understand that Harp had a total of 3 siblings, 2 innocent civilians (sister & brother); and of course Indy:
Harp was truly different then any other gangster we have ever covered. This was a guy who knew that he was in too deep, and constantly reminded us that he would’ve easily chosen another lifestyle if given another chance. He was tired of having to look over his shoulder, and knew that his family would always be in danger because of his presence. The money, lifestyle, girls, all the riches & luxuries that came with the game; truly wasn’t worth it to Harp anymore.
It was too late though – and Harp was murdered alongside his innocent child.
