Larente Brothers Arrested In Kanesatake Arms Trafficking Ring

Four people were arrested following a very heavily armed raid in the native land of Kanesatake last Tuesday morning. Amongst those arrest were the Larente brother.

The Takedown

An investigation by the SQ’s EILTA squad, which started in the summer of 2024, was finally set forth on the native land of Kanesatake on last Tuesday (18/03/2025) morning. The EILTA squad is a task force set to tackle firearms trafficking in the province of Quebec. The event took place on Rang Sainte-Philomene and led to the arrest of 3 men and 2 women, all aged in the range of 31 to 47 years old. Overall, four search warrants were set-about, two residences as well as two vehicles.

Police had been armed to the teeth, with five armored trucks and various other tools to their disposal. Possibly fearing the same resistance which they felt over three decades earlier during the Oka crisis. An incredulous story about the age old tale of the native people against the modern-day government. To put it in other terms, police were scared shitless before executing this raid. They even had ambulances on stand-by during this takedown. Authorities were not taking any chances, protecting themselves at all costs.

The Notorious Larente Brothers

Amongst the arrested were Larente brothers; Patrick, 46-years-old and Martin, 47-years-old. The duo is known for having a heavy criminal past. 44-year-old Samuel Lemay and 31-year-old Valerie Joncas were also arrested. One of the five people arrested were released until further light of the investigation. The four other suspects have court dates to attend at the Saint-Jerome court. A total of 4 search warrants had been executed in residences and vehicles.

Martin Larente

Nine rifles as well as an assault-type firearm had been seized. Cocaine, cannabis, methamphetamine and prescription pills were also seized throughout the kerfuffle. More specifically, 6000 tablets of speed, 150 grams of coke and a pound of weed were found. 700$ in cash and three stolen vehicles had also been seized. Supplementary to the contraband noted above, ammunition was also found.

Patrick Larente

The two Larente brothers were charged with possession and sale of methamphetamine and cocaine. Three of the four charged were stuck with negligent storage of a firearm as well. Martin Larente was charged after a police pursuit back in 2017 and was fined 750$. Patrick, Martin’s younger brother had also been charged in 2017 of assault and having violated his conditions.

A lot of native crime gets brushed under the carpet. Whether it’s concerning kidnapped and murdered women wandering the highways or the backroads of Manitoba or other reasons. One thing we must always remember is the fact that there exists an underworld culture within the community.

The Weekly Wreck 17 [DRUG WAR EDITION]: Back-to-Back Levis Home Invasions & Vehicle Arsons, Saint-Agapit Residence Stirring Up Havoc & More

The Weekly Wreck 17 (16/03/’25-22/03/’25): This past week has been a hectic one for firefighters in Quebec’s National Capitol and its neighboring region; Chaudieres-Appalaches. A total of 9 criminal arsons had taken place from the 14th of March to the 22nd. Not all events have been tied to the ongoing drug war, but we can start to presume the majority of those are linked to it.
