We’ve always stated that the head of the Blood Family Mafia was a young man by the name of Dave ‘Pic’ Turmel. ‘Pic’ Turmel has amassed a hell of a reputation throughout the last year, the curious part in this case, is that he is taking refuge in the country of Portugal and its surrounding regions. It is an alleged fact that the Hells Angels MC had put half a million dollars on Turmel’s head. Let’s remember that full-patch Mario ‘Banane’ Auger attempted to take a flight to Portugal and speak to Turmel in hopes of settling this massive dispute. Auger was told to go back to Quebec, Turmel wanted to have none of the discussion at hand.
But who is acting as a leader for the Blood Family Mafia while Turmel is away, in other words, who is the acting boss of BFM. Nathaniel Bernard was arrested this Tuesday, and has proved to be an acting leader, or at least of a cell of the Blood Family Mafia. Numerous independent drug dealing groups and street gangs across the province have sided with BFM, sick of paying the 10% tax imposed by bikers and MCs on all drugs sold. Hence, this could possibly be a major shift in Quebec’s underworld.
3 BFM Individuals Arrested For Drug Trafficking In Levis
The police operation took place on Tuesday (5/11/2024), when the SPVL (Levis Police Department) had arrested 3 different individuals who later appeared in court the same day. Nathaniel Bernard, a couple of years younger than Dave ‘Pic’ Turmel, aged 26, drew unwanted attention to himself after being very implicated in the ongoing drug war throughout the province. Tuesday, he was accused of non-authorized possession of a firearm and failure to comply with the conditions of a supervised freedom he was granted.
Multiple search warrants were executed in Saint-Henri-de-Levis, Saint-Fabien-de-Panet and Sainte-Marie, which aimed to tackle a drug trafficking cell of the notorious street gang. Upon their search, police found a handgun, brass knuckles, a jackknife, 2 stolen trailers, 3000 methamphetamine tablets, grams and grams of cocaine along with several other varieties of drugs in small quantities.
These previous conditions were granted to him after being convicted of drug dealing, armed assault and assaulting a police officer. The two other suspects were released with a promise to appear at their future court date. The SPVL also wishes to nab the man on drug trafficking as well as possession with intent to traffic. This operation was also thanks to the SQ (Quebec Provincial Police) in hopes of tackling a Blood Family Mafia branch that has their hands in cocaine, methamphetamine and also illicit cocaine trafficking.
2 Separate Incidents In Gaspesie Possibly Linked To BFM
The strife between the street gangs/independent dealers and the MCs keeps expanding, with multiple street gangs based out of Montreal partaking in the conflict and All Boivin, renowned Saguenay drug lord, switching sides. There have also been incidents in Gaspesie, located to the east of the province, which might be related to friction.
The first armed aggression had taken place on the night of the 28th of October in Cap-Chat. The incident occurred towards 7pm where 4 individuals were implicated in an armed assault. Three of the four involved in the assault were later arrested towards 8:30pm and accused of the assault. Only a few hours later another armed assault would have taken place in the region.
The latter incident had occurred towards 2:15am in the town of Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts. This second attack took place on 1st Avenue West. The victim was 40-some years old. The weapon used was a knife. Police would later knock on several innocent resident’s doors in order to pinpoint a suspect. No arrests have been made.
Authorities have deemed the latter incidents might have had something to do with the ongoing drug war. Since most of the events relating to this drug war have taken place in Quebec City, Montreal or even Saguenay, this would mean that the strife is expanding its territory, an occurrence that seems to reoccur. If you could shed 10% off all your profits which the government has no second thoughts of taking, would you?
