The operation utilized 60 or so officers from the SPVQ, most notably from their GTI (Tactical Intervention Unit), the SPVL, the SQ (Quebec Provincial Police) and their EILTA task force; a specialized task force meant to tackle arms trafficking within the province. Supplementary to the police forces mentioned above, bigger players were playing their part. Organizations such as the RCMP as well as the CBSA (Canadian Border Security Agency) also took part in this investigation.

The raids took place as a result of an investigation launched in January of this year. In total, three vehicles were searched leading to six arrests in Quebec City and Levis. The individuals targeted, which the law considers a group, were suspected of taking part in the recent influx of armed violence and drug trafficking in the region.

Authorities seized a 200 grams of cocaine, 570 tablets of methamphetamine, 125 grams of crystal meth, 40 grams of powdered MDMA and a taser. 15,800 cold hard Canadian cash was also seized. Six individuals were initially arrested, four men and two women, all aged between 20 to 34 years old. The women arrested were later released with a promise to appear.
