Meth Lab Dismantled In The Middle Of An Apartment Complex In Quebec City

The SPVQ (Quebec City Police Department) stumbled upon a makeshift meth lab smack dab in the middle of an apartment complex.

A surprising find took place over the weekend in the Saint-Sauveur borough of Quebec City when residents of the apartment complex complained about an unkindly chemical-like stench. The building in question was a complex located on Boulevard Charest close to the intersection of Marie-de-L’incarnation. The owner of the block contacted 911 Friday night at around 7:20pm, concerned over the smell of gas protruding from a certain apartment.

Authorities showed up at the apartment block shortly after the call was placed fearing for the safety of the other residents in the block in case of a gas leak. Once they entered the apartment in question, they were stunned at what they saw. Residents complained of a gas-like smell similar to propane accompanied by a bleach-like chemical smell. Low and behold, when authorities opened the door to the apartment they found a make-shift meth lab along with a hefty amount of drugs, case and even a firearm.

A seizure then took place in which 46,000 amphetamine tablets and 5 bags filled with powdered methamphetamine were found. This wasn’t all, as half a pound of cannabis was found, 10 grams of heroin and nearly 100 grams of hash. 24,000$ in cash money was seized as well as a .22 caliber rifle, 2 BB pistols and 100 rounds of ammunition.

Residents told media and authorities that there had been a lot of in and out foot traffic, noting there had been around 5 different individuals who were seen going in and out of the apartment, carrying different types of duffle bags. The apartment had been subleased by a pregnant woman to the renters last winter.

There have not been any arrests as of yet in relation to the makeshift lab, or drugs, weapons and cash seized. An older model Jaguar which belongs to one of the renters has been parked outside of the apartment complex, raking in parking tickets. It’s very doubtful that the owner will retrieve the vehicle as authorities are aware it belongs to one of the renters.

The Weekly Wreck 17 [DRUG WAR EDITION]: Back-to-Back Levis Home Invasions & Vehicle Arsons, Saint-Agapit Residence Stirring Up Havoc & More

The Weekly Wreck 17 (16/03/’25-22/03/’25): This past week has been a hectic one for firefighters in Quebec’s National Capitol and its neighboring region; Chaudieres-Appalaches. A total of 9 criminal arsons had taken place from the 14th of March to the 22nd. Not all events have been tied to the ongoing drug war, but we can start to presume the majority of those are linked to it.
