Two Back-to-Back Stabbings In Rosemont
On Friday night (30/08/2024) at around 10:35pm a 26-year-old man was stabbed in the chest area in the Rosemont borough of Montreal. The stabbing had taken place near the intersection of Jean-Talon and Rue Boyer. When emergency services had arrived on the scene, he was quickly shipped to the nearest hospital. His injuries are not life changing.
Only minutes had passed when the SPVM had received a call concerning a 39-year-old man who arrived at hospital to treat stab wounds, once again on his chest area. His injuries were also minor. The 2nd scene of the crime was at the intersection of Rue Saint-Hubert and Rue Belanger. We do not know the motive of the stabbings and authorities have no suspect thus far. It is still an ongoing investigation.
Pointe-Claire Business Shot Up
A Pointe-Claire business located near the intersection of Boulevard Brunswick and Rue du Marche was victim to a gunshot early Friday morning towards 3am. Once investigators arrived at the scene of the crime, they had found a bullet hole that was shot through the windows of the establishment.
Thankfully, no one was hurt throughout the course of the shooting, and no one was arrested either. This investigation is still ongoing.
South Central Lionel-Groulx Stabbing
Last Wednesday, towards 10am in the Lionel-Groulx metro, an altercation between two people stemming from a disagreement occurred. The cause of the disagreement is unknown. This resulted in one of the suspects taking out a knife and stabbing the other suspect, who was a man in his sixties. The stabbing suspect fled the scene while the victim was transported to the hospital. This event led to the temporary close of Avenue Atwater.
Two Suspects Wanted In Sherbrooke After Stealing 12 Grand From Safe
The SPS (Sherbrooke Police Service) are looking for 2 suspects after being spotted on security footage for stealing 12,000$ in cash from a safe that belonged to a tire shop named Pneu Goulet. The shop is located near the intersection of Boulevard Bourque & Albert-Dion, in the Deauville neighborhood of the city.
The robbery occurred in May, when the suspects had gotten out of an unidentified vehicle in the alleyway in the back of Pneu Goulet and made their way inside. The SPS showed still-frames of the security footage but did not leave a description for the public of the two suspects.
Sherbrooke: Three Arsons In One Night
Another shady occurrence which took place in Sherbrooke happened Monday (2/09/2024) night, when, in the span of 2 and a half hours, three separate buildings were brought to flames. Authorities haven’t found a relation to the three arsons as of yet, but it seems to stem from a pyromantic nature.
The first arson happened towards 3:40am Tuesday morning on Chemin de Valence, while the second arson started almost two hours later at 5:30am on Rue Papineau. 10 minutes later, a building used by Sherbrooke’s Nautical Club was set aflame, with the roof of the building nearly caving in. The last arson had been alerted to police by a passer-by.
Drug Seizure In Lachute
A drug seizure brought on by the SQ last Tuesday (27/08/2024) in Lachute resulted in a seizure of upwards of a dozen grams of hash, 160 grams of cannabis and over 170 grams of an unidentified white powder. The search warrant was aimed at a residence of Rue Saint-Jacques. A 61-year-old man was arrested in the process. Mace and 2 telescopic night sticks were also seized.
The suspect was released after the process and charged with drug trafficking as well as illicit sale of cannabis. This seizure and arrest was due to an investigation that was launched in April of this year. This event serves as a reminder that there is no pension in the life of a drug dealer.
Criminal Arson Attempt On Montreal-North Convenience Store
In the wee hours of Monday (2/09/2024) a convenience store near the intersection of Fleury East and Belleville was victim to an attempted criminal arson. Police were called towards 5:30am concerning residents of the apartment building located on top of the store hearing a break in. When police arrived, they found the business broken into with it’s windows cracked and saw smoke, although there was no fire.
When police checked the security footage of the building, they found a suspect lighting fire to the business and then fleeing. Although this was a failed attempt, police are still opening up an investigation on the matter.
3 Drug Dealers Arrested In Hochelaga
A police intervention had taken place Thursday (29/08/2024) in the borough of Hochelaga on Avenue Desjardins. This intervention was part of an investigation launched by the 23 branch of the SPVM. Police urged the public in Hochelaga to come forward if they have any information on drug trafficking in the area.
Suspected Criminal Arson In Saint-Flavien
Last Wednesday night, towards 10:30pm, a shed caught fire in Saint-Flavien in the Lotbiniere municipality. Investigators found numerous pieces of evidence on the scene that would lead them to believe that this arson would have been of a criminal nature. No suspects were arrested.
2nd Molotov Cocktail Thrown At Near Levis Apartment Block
The SPVL (Levis Police Service) were called Sunday (1/08/2024) night towards 10:15pm by a neighborhood resident who had seen a Molotov cocktail thrown on the street in front of an apartment building. This arson had taken place on Rue des Laurentides in the Lauzon sector of Levis. It had caused very minimal damage to the building, with the flames practically grazing it. The suspect fled after throwing the projectile, claims the neighboring residents.
Earlier in the week, the very same apartment building that was grazed by the flames was victim to another cocktail which had been thrown Thursday night. The building was leased to a new owner who had just moved in this summer. Neighbors claim the new resident keeps to himself, but stated the previous renters were quite the opposite. Claiming there would be a lot of different vehicles stopping at the apartment and there was no lack of screaming coming from the building.
3 Guns, Cocaine & 24,000$ Seized In Montreal-North
A 43-year-old man was arrested Friday, in what yielded an impressive seizure once police searched his car and apartment. 3 guns had been seized along with 2 extended magazines and several ammunition rounds for different calibers. But that’s not all, they also found 4000$ worth of cocaine and 1500 amphetamine tablets accompanied by 24,000$ in cash. The suspect is facing several different charges including drug trafficking and possession of a prohibited firearm.
Criminal Arson In Verdun

The arson in question this time occurred in the Montreal borough of Verdun, it happened on Monday towards 5:10pm near the intersection of Rue Berlioz and Boulevard de L’ile des Soeurs. When firefighters arrived on the scene, they neutralized the fire and then evacuated the second floor. Upon their inspection, they had found traces of accelerants throughout the building, deeming it as a criminal arson. An investigation is underway.
Ahuntsic College Stabbing
Last Wednesday morning (28/08/2024) towards 11am a fight broke out between two students during school hours at Ahuntsic College in Montreal. The fight broke out when a 21-year-old student attacked a 24-year-old student with a knife, in which the older student defended himself, injuring the younger student throughout the kerfuffle. Investigators met with both students and charges will be laid
