Drug Raids In Quebec City & Surrounding Regions (BFM Drug War)

A police drug trafficking operation which targeted suspect’s homes and vehicles was set forth by the organized crime squad; ENCRO. It took place on the 18th of February. The goal was to tackle a drug trafficking ring in which the HAMC were allegedly a part of. The raid took place in Quebec City, and its sister region, Chaudieres-Appalaches, with one raid taking place in the Laurentians.

Among the places raided, one was located along Chemin David in the town of Prevost. One in Quebec City targeted a home along Ernest Gagnon Avenue, smack dab in front of an elementary school. Four to five other raids took place the same day in relation to this operation, which mobilized around 70 SQ (Quebec Provincial Police) officers.

The very next day, SQ officers from the ENCRO were back at it, this time targeting residences in the Bas-Saint-Laurent region of the province. 60 police officers were mobilized to take part in a slew of raids in Riviere-du-Loup, Trois-Pistoles and Saint-Antonin. A total of 7 raids had taken place on that Wednesday, February 19th. These raids are also being considered to have ties to the HAMC.

Although these facts do not totally tie in to the BFM drug war. It certainly is a smudge mark on the timeline that spans the drug war, making it quite relevant to the ongoing strife.

Attempted Levis Kidnapping Attempt

A witness phoned 911 towards 12:45pm on Thursday the 20th of February. He had just seen a black pickup truck swoop up an individual against his will. A kidnapping. It didn’t take long before police sprung into action, within seconds five to seven squad cars became involved in the call. Only minutes later, that same black pickup truck was surrounded by the iron sights of SPVL service handguns. The suspects had been intercepted on Chemin Penin in the town of Saint-Jean-Chrysostome.

Later that day 33-year-old Pierre-Michel Chenard and 45-year-old Catherine Ouellet-Marcel had passed in court, both facing kidnapping charges. The victim of the crime made it out unscathed. Investigators are linking this event to drug trafficking but aren’t as eager to pin-point it to the ongoing drug war currently happening in the province.

2 Saint-Jerome Natives Shot & Killed In Ontario

On the 2nd of February in South Glengarry, Ontario, three young men had initiated a break and entry on a house on Highway 2, a branch of the 401. A resident of the house met them with gunfire, fatally killing 18-year-old Tristan Simard and 19-year-old Eddie Alobhouet. The third break and entry suspect managed to get away and is currently being hunted by authorities who are desperately trying to identify him.

Police detained all the occupants of the abode upon arrival, releasing them later. They seized several objects, but mainly firearms. The victims of the shooting had no criminal record in Quebec, which begs the question; why do a break and entry on a house in another province? A house which is located only 15 minutes away from the border? Was it just one of those adventurous nights, or did they ultimately get something out of it?

Half A Kilo Seized In Quebec City Traffic Stop

A 38-year-old man was arrested on February 20th after a traffic stop led to a seizure in Quebec City. 613 grams of cocaine, as well as 1600 ml of GHB was found in the car that had been intercepted. On top of that, 1190$ in cash was found. The man was charged with possession of drugs with intent to distribute.

This witness had told police a vehicle had been in the proximity of the neighborhood during the event. The same vehicle described to police was found later throughout the day at a McDonald’s located on the intersection of Boulevard Guillaume-Couture and Route Monseigneur-Bourget. A 20-year-old suspect had then been charged for arson. Police cannot confirm whether this was an event in relation to the ongoing drug war.

Pierrefonds Criminal Arson

A business was targeted by a criminal arson on Boulevard Saint-Charles, in the wee hours of Monday (24/02/2025) morning. We are unaware of the name of the commerce. A call was placed to 911 early on, prompting the fire department to get to the scene before the police did, leading to the building only suffering minor damages. The arson was deemed as one of a criminal origin, as arson paraphernalia was found at the scene.

Bizarre Attempted Murder On L’ile-Perrot

Emergency services were contacted towards 9:30pm on Sunday after a shooting occurred moments earlier. Coincidentally, the victim had been on a video call with a woman who had been all the way in Florida at the time of the attempt. She saw it all, through a screen, miles away, condemning her to contact authorities. The crime occurred on 24th Avenue.

When police arrived on the scene, they found a 58-year-old man, critically injured, slumped in a BMW sports utility vehicle. The victim survived. The fact that the victim has no ties to organized crime and has never been in trouble with the law makes it so mysterious. Was this a motiveless crime or was the motive buried too deep?

Rimouski B&E Leads To Brutal Beating

Towards 10:45pm last Sunday night, 911 received a call concerning a break-in that had turned violent. Two intruders had entered a house and violently beaten a 30-some-year-old occupant of the residence. The crime had occurred on Rue des Glaces, in Rimouski, a town in the Bas-Saint-Laurent region of the province which recently faced scrutiny regarding the ongoing drug war. The two unnamed intruders are currently being tracked down by authorities in the region. Thankfully, the victim made it out alive.
