Montreal Street Gangs Branch Out To Quebec City

Six different Montreal-based street gangs, most of them in alliance to the Blood Family Mafia are establishing their presence in Quebec City. Gangs such as the Profit Boyz, Arab Power, 24 Gang, Zone 43, VLY Boyz and Rollin' '90's have recently set foot and have been involved in some sort of criminal activity in the region.

Throughout the turn of the century, there have been a slew of street gangs that have claimed some type of territory, whether it be in Montreal, or in Quebec City. Few of these street gangs prevail, standing through the test of time, and most of the prevalent street gangs that had been active years ago fade out into abyss, with members choosing to hang up their colors and live a life with less chaos.

We can guarantee that the strife which the Blood Family Mafia had started over 2 years ago, is in full stride. The SPVQ (Quebec City Police Services) are even seeing the birth of new charters form in Quebec City, under the name of street gangs originally formed in Montreal. These times stand for a new era in the landscape of the Quebec underworld, and we’re smack-dab in the middle of living amongst these strange times.

In the first week of April, 2025, the SPVQ have in their sights 6 newly formed cliques with direct relation to Montreal street gangs. Gangs such as the Profit Boyz, Zone 43, Arab Power, 24 Gang and even the Rolling 90’s and VLY Boyz. We’ve written several articles about the gangs listed above. Authorities note there are currently 8 street gangs active in Quebec City including the Blood Family Mafia. Let’s dive in and see what we know about these new street gangs putting up a front in Quebec’s Capital Nation, Quebec City.

Profit Boyz (Profit Kollectaz)

Profit Kollectaz, or the Profit Boyz, were the Blood Family Mafia’s first allies and instigators of several crimes concerning the Quebec Drug War. Many of the crimes committed throughout this war came from criminals that are claiming the Rivieres-des-Prairies borough of Montreal as their home turf. However, some factions and members of the RDP street gangs have mixed feelings on whether to side with the bikers or go against them. Factions such as the ’40 Thieves’ and members such as the late Andrew ‘Ali Baba’ Luberisse decided to lean with the bikers, while members such as Kensey ‘Ryder’ Apollon are accused of a kidnapping attempt in Saguenay last August, clearly aimed towards the biker’s side of the strife.

Kensey ‘Ryder’ Apollon and Dave ‘Jackboy’ Dorestant are two Profit Boyz members that are higher up and possibly leaders to the RDP street gang that claims the color green. A rap music video of Dave ‘Jackboy’ Dorestant titled “Exposing Me (Remix)” captures Jackboy at a barbeque with EGK member Yahya ‘VT’ Mouhime. EGK, or Everybody Gets Killed, is a subsect of the ‘STL’ street gang, a gang that claims the color red. STL stands for Montreal’s Saint-Leonard borough.

‘Jackboy’ was the target of an attempted murder, when a vehicle rolled up and fired shots at another vehicle containing Dave ‘Jackboy’ Dorestant. Dorestant was hit by a projectile, but police had been called after the shots rang out and Dorestant was rushed to a hospital, surviving the hit. This incident took place on June 15th of 2024 near a motel on Amber Drive in Mississauga. ‘Jackboy’ was 32-years-old at the time.

Dorestant pleaded guilty nearly 5 years ago, to a firearms charge, concerning the handgun ‘VT’ Mouhime was flashing in the “Exposing Me (Remix)” video released on June 16th of 2019. In an investigation launched by the SPVM, they found the same handgun ‘VT’ was toting in Jackboy’s video in Dave ‘Jackboy’ Dorestant’s residence.

It’s important to note that the Profit Boyz were a part of a gang war with Montreal North’s Zone 43, another street gang that has been proven present in Quebec City. The height of this latter gang war had taken place in 2020 and 2021 and saw a triple homicide which saw the death of Profit Boyz rapper Jerry Willer ‘Mackazoe’ Jean-Baptiste in August of 2021.

The aftermath of the August 2nd, 2021 shooting which resulted in a triple homicide.
The August 2nd, 2021 shooting video caught on a Ring camera.

Andrew ‘Ali Baba’ Luberisse also saw violence in the Zone 43 strife when Luberisse’s Dodge Durango was targeted by nearly a dozen gunshots on May 29th of 2021. Some of these gunshots were fired from inside the vehicle. He later filmed a video he would then use in his Transgression Remix music video. Luberisse would eventually be found dead in his RDP prison cell in late 2024.

Andrew ‘Ali Baba’ Luberisse’s uncle; Jean-David Isme would later be shot to death on February 7th, 2025 in a Cotes-des-Neiges neighborhood by a trio of Blood Family Mafia sympathizers and members. Isme had been arrested in Levis last September in presence of a gun and a mask which begs the question on how he had been prevalent in Quebec City’s underworld?

The Profit Boyz are in league with Laval’s ‘Flame Head Boys’ (FHB) who claim the color orange and Laval’s ’24 Gang’ who claim the color purple. They are also in league with Saint-Leonard’s ‘STL’, more precisely the EGK faction of the gang.

Arab Power

Arab Power has had a reputation of being ruthless throughout these past years. Cementing itself as an immensely active gang in the province’s penitentiaries and detention facilities. Both presumed leaders of the gang, Youness ‘Frerot’ Aithaqi and Sylvain ‘Haboub’ Kabbouchi. They’ve been known for a slew of extortion attempts, one which occurred on October 4th of 2024 and led to a massive arson in Old Montreal. This gang has been known to work with Saint-Leonard’s ‘STL’ as well as the Profit Boyz, two Montreal gangs both geared against the motorcycle clubs throughout the province. As their name suggests, they are predominantly of Arab origin.

Sylvain ‘Haboub’ Kabbouchi

Some of Arab Power’s members’ name have come up in regards to Gregory ‘Picasso’ Woolley’s shooting that occurred in a Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu parking lot on November 17th of 2023. Woolley was shot in front of his 3-day-old first born in a Lamborghini truck. Arab Power had allegedly commissioned the 14-year-old EGK member to set fire to the Red Devils MC clubhouse in Frampton. The attempted arson turned sour when the 14-year-old, Mohamed-Yanis Seghouani, was killed attempting to set arson to the place. The circumstances of the young EGK member’s death are still covered in a haze of smoke, as he was found dead, in a burning sedan a few kilometers from the clubhouse.

Both leaders are serving time for murder. Youness ‘Frerot’ Aithaqi is serving a sentence for the first-degree 2016 murder of Joseph Sarikakis. Kabbouchi was implicated in the murder of Nitchell ‘Crank’ Lapaix which had occurred in August of 2021, when Lapaix was shot to death in the minutes after he left Laval strip club, ‘Crazy Moon’. Lapaix was Jean-Philippe Celestin’s right hand man at the time. Celestin became a Mauraders MC member last year, clearly siding with the bikers. Kabbouchi had already served time while being sentenced for the Lapaix murder.

Kabbouchi has been known to cause many disturbances during his time behind bars. Prison personnel suspect him of being the mastermind of an incident where an inmate had his tongue cut out, but Kabbouchi denies this, never being interrogated for the incident. Kabbouchi was also allegedly involved in both the Noel Garcia Frias shooting, an innocent bystander to the 24 Gang/26 Gang strife, as well as 26 Gang (Le Regiment) member Justice ‘Steady’ Owusu. Kabbouchi had gained his entry to street gang life through Chomedy’s Cho Blocc Mafia also known as the BLOCC Mafia.

Video has also been released throughout the later half of 2024, portraying incarcerated members of Arab Power torturing a prison who hadn’t paid the tax Arab Power had imposed on the man. Arab Power definitely stands shoulder-to-shoulder with the Blood Family Mafia as some of the most violent gangs in the province, extorting individuals at every corner they turn.

Zone 43

Most of the gangs in this list are at least loosely affiliated with the Blood Family Mafia. There’s no evidence to show the public why Montreal-North’s Zone 43 would move into the region of Quebec’s capital. Aside from claiming the color red. We’ve uncovered in the past, that Zone 43 have been spreading their wings in Vancouver, with the Vancouver Police Department when Project Talon and the detectives behind it managed to put their grubby hands on 11 kilos of cocaine, 7 kilos of fentanyl and 2 kilos of methamphetamine along with 2 firearms and 150,000$ in cash money.

We’ve gained information that Zone 43 is operating out of Hazelwood Hotel in East Hastings. The street gang has taken a big step by deploying their operations on the other end of the province. As far as we know, the Montreal-North street gang had existed for the last 14 years with NoGame dropping “Mr. Zone 43” in March of 2011.

Zone 43 also has separate factions, or cells, same as the Profit Boyz or STL. One of Zone 43’s most notable cells is the ‘Pop Team’, and a notable member of this faction is Grolls ‘OGC’ Septus, OGC standing for ‘Original Gun Clapper’. Although Septus has another nickname, one for his rapping career; ‘Bloodshot’. Septus had taken flight when the GTI (Tactical Intervention Group) were about to intercept him in July of 2020.

A chase had taken place on that July 29th afternoon after the GTI had attempted to arrest the man for a series of crimes including attempted murder. Grolls had filmed himself fleeing the scene. He later ditched the vehicle only to be apprehended later, heading towards Ontario on the 20 West in a different vehicle.

Then there was the 2019 murder of an innocent man in Saint-Eustache. Hensley Jean, a member of Zone 43 had targeted a residence, and in June of 2019 had decided to take action. Without knowing, the intended target had moved out of the residence and was replaced by another occupant and his family. Hensley Jean had shot the man of the residence twice, walking up to 30-year-old Simon Indig, shooting him twice in the back, taking extra precaution.

Extraordinarily, the man had made it out alive, Hensley Jean and the driver of the vehicle were quickly apprehended, only a few hours later. Hensley Jean was handed a life sentence, only being eligible for parole when 7 years had been served. Hensley Jean was a member of the ‘Goonz Squad’ faction of Zone 43, also known as the ‘3369’.

24 Gang

The ’24 Gang’ hasn’t been directly involved in the strife between BFM and HAMC, but their allies follow the same suit as the movement against the bikers. The gang, hailing from the Saint-Francois sector of Laval, is allied with the Profit Boyz as well as Arab Power. The Flame Head Boys are also tightly knit with this very gang. The Flame Head Boys hail from the Laval-des-Rapides borough of Laval. ’24 Gang’ reps the color purple and was formed in 2020.

The ’24 Gang’ is also bordering the edge of a gang war with the ’26 Gang’, also known as ‘Le Regiment’. Some say it has already started. An altercation at a certain mall solidified the strife when on the 21st of July of 2023 Justice Owusu ‘Steady’ Tajudeen, a member of the ’26 Gang’ had gotten into it at Carrefour Laval with ’24 Gang’ member Romuald ‘Buck’ Surin. Surin is on the same list of accused as Arab Power’s Sylvain ‘Haboub’ Kabbouch.

Justice ‘Steady’ Owusu was shot to death at L’Arabesque shisha bar near the intersection of Sainte-Catherines and Guy on August 7th of 2023, only a month after the mall incident. An incident that would only further the strife between the street gangs.

The next murder which would occur would be of ’24 Gang’ member Frederick ‘Boolin’ Michel on February 5th, 2024. The man was found dead in the parking lot of a gym along Autoroute 440 near the intersection of Cure-Labelle. ‘Boolin’ Michel was shot in the neck, back and ribs, being declared deceased upon emergency services arrival onto the scene. The 29-year-old man was deemed dead on arrival. Laying, slumped in his BMW sedan. A Honda Accord was later found burnt to a crisp nearly 10 kilometers away.

In retaliation to the ‘Boolin’ hit, the ’24 Gang’ had allegedly orchestrated the hit of Shawn ‘Dirty S’ Jean Vilsaint on May 14th of 2024. The rapper’s Instagram handle was dubbed ‘dirtysfrm26′, clearly a nod to the ’26 Gang’. The hit had taken place on the east side of the island, in the Ahuntsic borough of Montreal.

Three suspects, all having close ties or being members of the ’24 Gang’ were pinpointed as the perpetrators of the ‘Dirty S’ shooting. William Beauvais-Bazile was arrested in Montreal while Romuald ‘Buck’ Surin was arrested in Prince George, British Columbia. The third suspect is Dylan Denis who is currently a fugitive wanted for murder and is ranked number 6 on the BOLO program.

The ’24 Gang’ is in allegiance with the Flame Head Boys, the Profit Boyz, Arab Power and The Blood Family Mafia. The recent news about authorities’ recent discovery of this clique of street gangs moving into Quebec City can pose a certain threat to the HAMC, their allies and support clubs.

VLY Boyz

Not much is known of the ‘VLY Boyz’ other than the fact that they hail from either the Villeray, Park-Extension or Saint-Michel boroughs of the island, with the ‘VLY’ abbreviation standing for Villeray. Members of the gang first started popping up in 2018. The gang is implicated in drug trafficking, pimping and fraud. The gang claims the color blue and the late ‘Dirty S’ had allegedly been involved with the gang.

VLY Boys also have a record label, with rappers such as ‘LKS’, who released a music video titled “Saucin'” upon his release from prison in 2016. As far as we are aware the ‘VLY Boyz’ have no affiliation with the Blood Family Mafia and their stance in the ongoing drug war is unknown.

Rollin’ ’90s

The Rollin’ 90s were originally a Crip set from in South Los Angeles aligned with the Rollin’ 60s. It is unknown whether some of the original members had any sort of relation to the Crip set formed on the west end of Montreal towards 2016 and 2017, but the Montreal street gang eventually gained immense power in 2023. Their Montreal activities include, drug trafficking, murder-for-hire, arms trafficking and fraud.

Marckens Vilme

Some of their members have been mentioned concerning numerous murders. Marckens Vilme, one of the leaders of the Rollin’ ’90s is serving a sentence for the murder of HAMC Niagara chapter’s Michael ‘Diaz’ Deabaitua-Schulde, which happened outside of a Mississauga gym in March of 2019.

Stevens Cantave, a member of the ‘Plan Bellechase’ street gang who was murdered in February of 2024, was close friends with Marckens Vilme. Vilme has also been photographed on surveillance footage having a chat with Arab Power’s Youness ‘Frerot’ Aithaqi. Another name which seems to pop up in more than one event is the one of 26-year-old Nackael Hickey.

The Rollin’ ’90s have managed to lay low, avoiding media frenzy, but in a fiasco of a shooting, where police accidently shot at a family they mistook as shooters, hitting a father and son duo, although Nackael Hickey, a Rollin’ ’90s member, had ultimately been the primary instigator of the incident; the DDO shoot-out fiasco which occurred in August of 2024.

Nackael Hickey, a Rollin’ ’90s member, had decided to settle a dispute with a friend who had been staying in Dollard-des-Ormeaux, a Montreal borough. A struggle had ensued, with the two opposing figures struggling to get their hands on a handgun that had been produced by Hickey. A shot had gone off accidently, the police were called subsequently. Hickey decided to flee, deciding to commit grand theft auto in order to get away successfully.

He eventually landed on a family, unpacking after a weekend of camping. Coincidentally, squad cars had shown up at the same time, with the officers mistaking the innocent family as suspects, A shoot-out occurred where nearly 40 gunshots had been fired. Hickey, as well as the father and son duo had taken shots from the shootout.

Nackael Hickey had also been allegedly involved in the kidnapping and murder of crypto-influencer, Kevin Mirshahi, in June of 2024. Mirshahi had been kidnapped along with 3 other friends who were eventually released the day after. Mirshahi hadn’t been spared that privilege with his body. Mirshahi’s body washed up in an Ahuntsic park in October of 2024. Among his co accused is another Rollin’ ’90s gang member named Darius Perry.

Kevin Mirshahi

This mix of street gangs is clearly not branching out to Quebec City for peace and love, but with an aim of taking a slice of the pie criminal activity has to offer in Quebec’s second biggest city. Most of the gangs mentioned above seem to be in alliance with the Blood Family Mafia although a few of them are unsure of their stance through this whole drug war.

Quebec City Rapper ‘Mizery’ Sentenced For Drug Trafficking

In March, a Quebec City rapper who is affiliated with the Blood Family Mafia had his day in court. Although the 40-year-old man disassociated himself with the Blood Family Mafia, with good reason, it doesn’t change the fact the leader of the gang, Dave ‘Pic’ Turmel had a remarkable role in his ‘Grenade’ music video, flashing a BFM diamond chain.

Jean-David Isme Murder: Three Arrested With Ties To BFM

Three individuals were arrested last Thursday (10/04/2025) in regards to the Jean-David Isme murder which happened in February of this year. Two of the suspects arrested have ties to BFM. This fact begs the question whether this was a hit contracted in part of the drug war or not?
